The North of 60 Agreement and it’s Legacy (Trust) Agreement affirms the Athabasca Dene peoples rights north of the 60th parallel in Nunavut and the Northwest Territories. This traditional territory was not included in treaty 8 and 10. Soon the Athabasca Denesųłiné people will be able to ratify the North of 60 and Legacy (Trust) Agreements with the Governments of Canada, Northwest Territories and Nunavut.
