Welcome to Protecting Nuhenéné
After many years of difficult negotiations, the Athabasca Denesuline will soon have a Final Agreement to present to our members for approval. This Agreement deals with constitutionally protected rights and benefits for the Athabasca Denesuline and applies to much of our traditional territory in NWT and Nunavut. The Final Agreement will include, for example, provisions on wildlife harvesting, resource management, land claim settlement area, Hunter/Trapper Organizations, as well as other rights and benefits.
