About Us
The Athabasca Denesųłiné NeNe Land Corporation represents the Athabasca Denesųłiné First Nations of Black Lake, Fond du Lac, and Hatchet Lake in the North of 60 Final Agreement negotiation process. The negotiation process started over 30 years ago from a court action brought on by the Athabasca Denesųłiné people to affirm their rights North of the 60th parallel.
After many years of difficult negotiations, the Athabasca Denesųłiné will soon enter the ratification process. This Agreement deals with constitutionally protected rights and benefits for the Athabasca Denesųłiné and applies to much of our traditional territory in NWT and Nunavut. The Final Agreement will include, for example, provisions on wildlife harvesting, resource management, land claim settlement area, Hunter/Trapper Organizations, as well as other rights and benefits.

Ron is a band member of Black Lake First Nation and currently living in Prince Albert. He has served with the Athabasca Denesųłiné First Nations in Negotiations with the government of Canada related to AD Treaty and Aboriginal Rights North of the 60th parallel since 2001. Ron enjoys working with the Elders, leaders and team. Always learning something new everyday.

Position Summary:
Post-secondary education in Administration, Management or Human Resources, plus experience in data management and working with First Nations or First Nation organizations. Experience with enrolment, membership, registry or comparable processes, including organizing and implementing First Nation elections, is important. Strong organizational, analytical, communication and decision-making skills are required. The ability to speak Dene is a definite asset.Reports to

Independent decisions; administratively supported by NHKResponsibilities:
- Establish and administer enrolment procedures and eligibility criteria under the Agreement.
- Receive, review and decide enrolment applications and maintain the official enrolment register.
- Work with Indigenous Services Canada, NHK and participating First Nations on Band Lists and enrolment information.
- Implement Enrolment Appeal Board and applicable Federal Court decisions.
- Protect personal information and maintain complete, secure and defensible records.
